Working For Me – The Short

On the morning of her first day in a brand-new tech career, Sean Weiser is working hard to make it out the door. Between an energetic kid, a misplaced sense of control, and the pressure to reinvent herself at mid-life, her morning spirals into a comedy of everyday survival.

Working For Me is a sharp, heartfelt short film about the chaos of starting over while life refuses to cooperate. Written and directed by Deenie Wallace, the film stands on its own as a complete story and serves as the opening sequence of the half-hour dramedy series in development.

Series Pilot – New Gig

Picking up where the short leaves off, New Gig follows Sean into a mid-level tech company that’s been bought out and rebranded more times than anyone can count. There, she faces culture-shock onboarding, imposter syndrome from twenty-something coworkers, and the impossible balance between ambition and motherhood, while discovering that sometimes the hardest system to debug is yourself.
